Then again, my Windows use is minimal, just for a few programs to do remote broadcasting on my online radio station. I just had to go and free up space every now and then. I can say I've usually kept my Windows partition to about 50 gb, and not had problems with updates and such. But for now, I'm just going off of memory. Once that happens, I will probably be setting up Bootcamp also, and if you haven't had any luck, I may be able to help more then. But, I hope to order my new 2020 Air as soon as my stimulous check hits my bank account. I last used Bootcamp on an old macbook pro from 2012, which unfortunately took a tumble and had major body damage, plus issues with the drive, so pretty much a total loss. Specifically, it is what was used to upgrade from Windows 7 or 8 to 10, but in a pinch has also helped me go from one version of 10 to another. It's a separate program from Windows Update. Windows actually has a free tool to help do this, and can remove old versions of Windows that stay on the computer until you specifically delete them. The first question that comes to mind is how much free space do you have available on that Windows partition? If it's getting anywhere near full, you can try to clear up free space. If you have ever used Boot Camp, you know that the application needs download the necessary software to install on a compatible Mac of any of the Windows 10 64-bit versions. But that incompatibility is over, since as we can read on the Apple website, Boot Camp is now compatible with all compatible Macs that have macOS Sierra 10.12.5 or a higher version installed. In early April, Microsoft released the latest major update to Windows 10 called the Creators Update, an update that brings us a large number of new features but so far it was not compatible with Boot Camp, so that users who intended to install it could not. But when it comes to big updates things get complicated, since Apple has to update Boot Camp to be compatible with the latest version of Microsoft's operating system. ![]() When they are small updates that contain small improvements or security patches, there is no problem. ![]() Shortly after we have been able to verify how Microsoft is not based on any pattern, as Apple does, but distributes them throughout the year. When Microsoft launched Windows 10, a question that remained in the air was how the updates of this new version of the operating system would be released.
